Plan C - Family Tree Project
This project will research and build a family tree, gathering as much information as we can find, for at least 20 research hours (we will likely devote much more than that!). You pay no more than $6.00 per hour! Professional genealogists charge about $40.00 per hour! Your family tree will consist of direct ancestors and their children. Children of your direct ancestors children are not included, unless you so desire. Because of the complexity of this research we may have to be in contact with you in order to determine the best direction in which to take our research. You may have the option of following your family name back as far as possible or you may have the option to widen or fill your family tree branches with less direct ancestors. They're are many directions that this research may lead so communication could be important to our progress. To do this type of research will require many weeks of work,dependent on many variables, such as difficulty in finding certain people or information and the roadblocks and dead ends which are always possible (and very likely!).
Every effort will be made to provide you with a true family memento that can be passed on for generations to come! I was thrilled to learn of my family history during my own research and I know you will be too!
Included with this project is a free website devoted to your family tree which you will be able to access at anytime, although there will be major access restrictions applied until full payment for our services is received. We use a web-based program called PHPGEDVIEW to compile, store and catalog your family information. You can view my family tree (and what yours will look like too!) by following the "PhpGedView" link at the top of the page. If you'd like to follow along with our progress on your PGV website, including emails informing you of updates, and the ability to add or edit information, full payment must be made, as information accessibility is our only way to ensure payment for our services.
